Here is an idea how to make the snow better, assuming the hardware might allow it now or in the future/high end systems:

Add a "snow shader", which will make the snow have highlights where the sun is shining on it.

Snow tends to be very bright when the sun shines on it... and snow tends to reflect some light.

Only if snow is dirty/old might it start to loose some shinyness ;)

So snow spots with oil and dirt on it reflect a bit less ;)

(Perhaps it's already implemented... I don't think so though... even on high the game looks crap ;) :) and needs some polishing
