PIP-0018 is unfair towards Delphi.
« on: April 04, 2019, 11:14:30 PM »
PIP 18 proposes to allocate funds from developer fund to Free Pascal/Lazarus projects.

This is unfair towards the Delphi project.

PascalCoin was originally developed with Delphi software not Free Pascal/Lazarus.

Therefore the wrong project is supported.

Though a pascal compiler is necessary to build PascalCoin software.

Free Pascal/Lazarus can be usefull to PascalCoin software since it might build PascalCoin better on non-windows platforms for now.

However one can argue that Delphi should be supported as well since it was originally used to develop PascalCoin software.

Buying a Delphi license with developer funds would therefore be fair to the company behind Delphi.

This my also unsure that this great product continues to exist.
